Dreams are work.

Let me get this out of the way, I love being a photographer. I have always thought that if we could see each other and the world at large, through someone else’s eyes, then perhaps we could become a bit more at ease with ourselves. I am fortunate enough to get to present my vision of the world to other people. I also want to help other people be seen the way that they want to be seen.

I was born and raised in the middle of the Willamette Valley, Oregon. After spending many years working to further other people’s dreams in both the private and public sectors, I and my wife were presented with an opportunity to live abroad, where I could make a career out of what had been my dream, to freeze in time the beauty of the world and people around me.

“You can take for granted that people know more or less what a shop, a street, a beach, a sky, an oak tree look like. Tell them what makes this one different.”

-Neil Gaiman-

We currently live in Hong Kong during the school year where my wife is a primary school teacher. We come back to the U.S. each summer to visit family and our beloved Pacific Northwest.
